Attention! We are moving!!! Check out http://www.omegagames.net. Soon the whole of the site will be created, and it will become our new home. Once these changes take effect, I'll make a nice tutorial for THIS page showing how to make the transition. (http://omegagames.netfirms.com lol)
New to OmegaGames? Not a problem! Just note that flash is REQUIRED to move around the site. Then, just use the links banner (look up!) to explore the many aspects of OmegaGames. We have games, music, and much more, so go forth!

LONG time between updates... but fortunately thats a good thing. I must regret to inform my loyal fans that we are moving. I actually ponied up the $$ to purchase myself www.omegagames.net so visit and bookmark it today! I will be putting more effort into this new site, since it will be mostly (read: all) php-based and will deliver dynamic content. Please note, for the next week or so, continue to use this site for file downloads, as we make the transition, but feel free to register and post in our forums about what you would like to see in the future! Also, welcome to all those who found this address in their copy of Break-In for psp. If you haven't played it yet, go over here to get it!

Wow... um... yeah... this site hasnt been updated in HOW LONG? Sorry, but fear not, for since the completion of BreakIn PSP, all my time will now go into editing this site! Soon, this homepage will be replaced with the NEW homepage, and while the construction is in progress, this page will be active. Anyway, great times for omegagames are coming!!
Want free money?
Hopefully I caught your attention. While your here, I wanna share this blinging greatness called instantprofitz. I made $100 in a month on this site. all you have to do is sign up, and complete totally free surveys (while dodging advertisments, spam, etc with fake addressed) and get PAID to do it. If you click the following link, omegagames will also get money when you earn money, so be nice to us huh? (We told you about it!) anyway, just go ----HERE---- to get started making money! Good luck (I seriously made 100 in a month, one friend made 50, and another made 75 in like 4 days... this IS FOR REAL. Promise.)

Okay, okay... YES, it's been what? 5 months since my last update? My bad. But really, I'm in the ol' college now so free time is a precious commodity. Once I get some time I'll get back to the site. Oh yeah, there will probably be a site-wide graphical overhaul soon, as I recently got pretty decent at style sheets. So, look out for that within the coming weeks. Also, seeing as how Mike has about as much free time as I do (okay, he has a bit more, but less motivation), Bomberman will probably never be complete. Maybe I'll redo the game when i get sick of tactics game programming. Also, the toolbox should be updated soon with a couple programs I'm working on, and if I ever get tactics done, who knows? I may just revolutionize music downloading. Meh we shall see. :)
Anywhom, thats about it for now, if you're newer to the site theres still a ton of fine games you can play here, so get to it!
5/12/05
Oh lookie! another update! w00t!
Lets see, first off, a new game WILL be coming soon. Secondly, I decided to make an "in-progress" area for the tactics game. You know the type, screenshots, random blathering, etc. Hopefully, I'll put up a small game or two in the meantime (besides GDP games), so look out for those.
Stay strong. Keep it real. Go to OmegaGames...
4/23/05
(This update got lost somehow. Whoopsies!) Seriously, where did it go? Oh well, there really was nothing important, except... nah. Nothing important. Look out for Bomberman!
2/17/05
About two weeks seems to be my lucky timespan... Anyway, some new things to point out on OmegaGames. Always trying to make you stay as pleasant as possible!
- The Toolbar. Yes, the ugly-framed navigation bar is finally gone, and replaced with the OmegaGames-Banner-bar-2000! (Yes, its that thing near the top) Though you may not notice at first, it contains links to all the parts of OmegaGames. Rejoice! (If you have flash, otherwise-get it!)
- Space Attack. Yes, its finally done. I am very pleased with it personally, I hope that the board of reviewers at my High School will be pleased as well... (Long story)
- Work has begun on my next game, it will be a tactical RPG I think. I'm not sure whether I want it to be like FF Tactics, or maybe Fire Emblem, possibly, it will become something completely new and original! Also, I'm contemplating whether or not to make combat card-based, or just attack-based. Any input would be appreciated.
- I have also decided that my next game will be made in C++ with SDL graphics (*nix users rejoice!), so I have made some "learning" programs that have concepts that will be employed in the game's battle system. I'll post these (and eventually describe them in-depth) in the toolbox, so head over there if you've ever wondered about moving around a virtual battle area (A* Pathfinding).
- One last thing, a reward if you will for reading all of this. As it seems, gmail, though it will probably never go public, is giving out invites like a bad cold. I have 50, and Gmail-Swap.com has gone down, so I have nothing to do with them. If anyone wants one, head over to contacts and mail a request to me. Its a gig of free space!
UPDATE: 2/1/05
...There's no WAY on ****ing earth that its been almost 2 weeks since I last updated this... No. I dont believe it! So ha "time", I win. Okay, lets get to the point. Space Attack is almost done. I really believe that I am more excited to get it out than anyone is to play it, but oh well. It'll be great. I promise. See the flash thing at the top? I fixed it! before, i was using #include "file.as" to save the variables, but then anytime I changed the file, I had to re-compile the movie into a new .swf Now, using the loadVariables() function, I can edit one small file, and itll update the whole flash thing.
Also, I'm thinking about redoing the whole site in flash (little by little). Does anyone think this is a good/bad idea? Email me either way, since I might not feel motivated to do it unless told, but I might anyway (just in case you didnt want it and kept silent). Email me -- omegagames@gmail.com
Thats all for now. After this project, not only do I start C++, but Java too, so I can start making applets maybe (portability!). Soon I'll start learning A* Pathfinding. Why? Because I'm stupid. I'm also probably going to scrap my 3D engine for now, maybe work on it when I'm too tired of games... Aight, thats it.
UPDATE: 1/20/05
Okay, if you visit this site regularly (i.e. 2 or more times), you may have realized that it hasnt been changed at all in months. Well my friend, don't think for a second that OmegaGames is done! Actually, the lack of site updates is the direct result of me programming almost nonstop. I have decided to add something to reflect this, so ta da! Its the "OmegaGames Progress Bar 2000." I know, its just some pretty flash, but now you have a reason to check up on the progress of my latest works!
As for the projects I'm working on now:
--The 3-D engine isnt really that great, my highest hopes for it are the ability to draw some rudimentary wireframe polygons. But still, small steps, small steps...
--Space Attack - officially announced as of today. almost complete, all that remains is creating a system that uses text files to load enemies to create the different levels, and adding sound effects, music, etc with managed DirectX.
So, if you havent yet, try the Space Attack demo, even though the finished product is already vastly more advanced, its still fun! Hopefully, I'll get some screenshots up soon.
I'm also hoping to add some new flash movies made by friends (you know who you are), and maybe I'll stop being lazy and make a flash game...
Anyway, happy new year! And I hope it'll be a good year for OmegaGames!
11-20-04
As you may notice, the site has undergone a major overhaul. We've added the Toolbox, where you can find programming (or whatever) advice, as well as Idea Weaver--the HTML Editor that will rule them ALL!!!! ... ...
...
Well, I made it... so I feel pride in it... sue me.
Also, a new game has been created! It is called MikeOut (Slight ripoff of Lights Out), and its the most mind-wrenching thing you'll ever play...
As to the types of games that will be offered, there will be a few different categories to fit YOU!
- Java applets--these will be included after I have my Java class (a few months from now)
- Flash Games--seems to be the preferred methos of gaming online, but I havent the faintest clue how to make them so...
- Downloadable--these will be the first type you will have access to since I have a few VB games that i can add for download soon! (Note: Any DL games with the ".net" type require the user to have the compact .net framework installed on their computer-which you can get from a link in games page.
- And, for your listening enjoyment, a page of songs to soothe your soul while you browse the web
So anyway, a site of this (optimistic) magnitude requires a few things...
Think you got what it takes to think up the next gaming hit? You got the patientce to report bugs? Or do you consider yourself a tough critic? If so, refer to the contacts section and give me a shout. Because without YOU, this whole site is just......me.
- Ideas-creativity, something i possess a bit of, is needed for ideas for new games that are fun and challenging
- Testing-all new games will have to have the bugs worked out of them before people attack me for losing due to a slight error :(
- Feedback-I love all the games I make (well...for the most part :P) but I cant know how YOU like it unless YOU tell me!
